POETRY & WRITING CONTEST Poetry-in-Motion Writing Contest Prize:$1,000.00 Entry fee: $25.00 Deadline: 02-29-2012 Geoffrey Owens, from The Cosby Show, and RisingStar31 Productions have teamed up to launch the first Poetry-in-Motion Writing Contest, an initiative to showcase the literary works of talented writers. The theme is, “Holidays and Special Events, Past and Present.” Geoffrey, a Shakespearean actor, instructor, and talented poet, has created an exciting new selection of poetry-filled, on-line greeting cards, and brings a wealth of experience to the venture. He will be the judge who selects the winning writer from the ten finalists. The writer should submit one sonnet or a poem that is similar in structure. The winner is awarded a $1,000 Prize and publication in our future RisingStar31 e-Magazine and Web site. Eligibility: Poets writing in English, who either have or haven’t already published a poem. Simultaneous submissions are fine, however, please inform us if there’s a change in your poem’s status.
