May 2013 kicks of our 3rd Mother's edition of POETRY & PROSE Magazine. As in the past we asked for the fantastic, good, bad and ugly side of motherhood. Let's face it every female is not cut out to be the "World's Perfect Mom". Some children must suffer as well as some Mother's because all children are not adorably sweet. We live in a real world where real things happen to us as Moms, whether it be losing a child, a job or our mate. Or giving up on life and walking away from our family. Then their are Moms that do their best to keep a meal in their children belly and a smile on their face. That's what real Moms do. We go years without to make sure that our children get what they need. My Mother did that and my grandmothers were the same. I thank God that I don't have to struggle to raise my children with the proper values but let me tell you this, money isn't everything. Because I have witness wealthy Mothers over providing their children and at the same time losing their respect from them to her because they feel like they are being brought. Don't give them quality gifts with out the quality time that should be included with it. The bottom line is Motherhood is a trip, it comes with no instructions and everybody assumes they are a pro at it. If you are one of those kids that say I want to raise my kids just like Mom raised me. Go for it because she must have had the read stuff. Happy Mother's Day!
